Job Description
Position: Facility Manager / Civic Engagement Support Facility, Somalia (Based in Nairobi)
Objective: Expand civic space for women, youth, and marginalized groups in Somalia and strengthen citizen engagement on rights and accountability at all levels.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee Facility operations in Nairobi, Mogadishu, and Hargeisa.
• Lead project implementation and team management.
• Ensure successful execution of the 46-month project with frequent travel to Somalia and Somaliland.

Qualifications:

• Master’s degree in social sciences, development studies, or a related field.
• 10+ years of experience managing multi-year development projects in Africa (USD 10M+ budgets).
• 5+ years supporting civil-society organizations in developing countries.
• Experience appreciated in:
  • Fund management (5+ years).
  • Fragile/conflict-affected contexts (7+ years).
  • Leadership in 3+ developing countries.
  • Horn of Africa (5+ years).
  • Somalia/Somaliland (3+ years).
• English proficiency at C1 level.

Note: Position depends on successful tendering. Full-time, based in Nairobi.
